Hiraeth
Created by the enthusiasm of Julie Bell, manager of the Felinfach Griffin
Hiraeth means a sense of knowing…. being….. belonging
Julie wanted to create a celebration of suppliers and makers, all those who had contributed to the success of the Felinfach Griffin which has recently received two more awards
Hence our presence at Hiraeth as we designed the bed blankets, and the now famous Welsh tapestry curtains in the dining room with our own leather tie backs, and of course the leather key fobs for all the bedrooms
A little local festival with beers, barbecues, live music and stalls and activities, all under a starry sky
With local breweries, Black Mountain Smokery, Talgarth Mill, Penpont Organic farm shop and us of course, along with other activities, such as Kate Raggett executing her exquisite Land Art and much more….
Music was a major feature with a Samba Band Repercussion and Johnny Crows Garden – a new band from the Penpont stables!
There was an impressive BBQ for all, with fresh mackerel caught the night before by Charles Inkin from the Gurnards Head
My dog, Boudica had a splendid evening playing with Julie’s dog and the Penpont Mutt all of which were wearing our smart bespoke Dog Collars
