The Orange Tip Butterfly

A beautiful early butterfly is Jan’s favourite – so distinct with bright orange tips to its upper wings – but those are only on the male – you can easily miss the female and mistake her for a common white butterfly as she does not have the orange tips on her wings
Their favourite food stuff is cuckooflower and wild garlic and other once common wildflowers found in roadside verges – but now these butterflies are finding their way into our gardens looking for honesty plants – which is where I saw mine
