Having completed my Beginners’ Bee Keeping Course with the Wye Valley Bee Keepers, I am now the proud owner of an overszied bee suit and have apprenticed myself to a Master Bee Keeper, Mike Taylor. Mike approached me about keeping some hives with us as he had heard about our wild flower meadow project. It was perfect timing as I had just finished my Bee Keeping Course and am now custodian of four nucleus hives (small honey bee colonies created from larger colonies). Hopefully they will make it through the Winter and we will be up and running ready for next year!
