This is a one off item
Fringed on two sides
Ann Sutton MBE was a British artist, designer, author, educator and broadcaster. She gained international recognition as an innovative textile artist and designer from the 1950s. She was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1991, and a Senior Fellow of the Royal College of Art and a Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts, both in 2005
These are old textiles and we carefully check the condition of each blanket
The blankets are washed in a natural wool wash and treated with our own anti moth and wool tonic, restored when necessary, and only then offered for sale
History of old Welsh Blankets
For centuries weaving has carried on in Wales and relied on an economy based on sheep farming
Many of the mills were small, single-family operations which used wool drawn from the immediate locality
These blankets are old textiles and individually sized
They generally fit a small double bed but look great at the end of a larger Queen size or King size bed, on top of a white duvet cover or used as a sofa throw
Approx size 191 cm x 229 cm
